The Trials of Divinia
For centuries, the Celestial Trials have determined which parts of Divinia will flourish and which will fall into hardship. Glory, honour, and prosperity hang in the balance during a week-long competition, all played out under the watchful eyes of the gods.
Talon Drakeforge, a boy from the fire-scorched land of Ferroxia, has never felt like a hero. While others train dragons for battle, he dreams of something more – freedom, fairness, and a world no longer bound by fear.
When fate casts him into the heart of the trials, Talon must face elemental gauntlets, illusions, ancient creatures, and impossible choices, contending not only with rival champions, but with an expectant god.
But beneath the surface of the trials, a darker game is being played – one that threatens the very fabric of the world. As loyalties shift and truths unravel, Talon begins to realise winning the trials might not be the answer.

Hello! My name is Glen and, as of the summer of 2025, I can finally call myself an author. The Trials of Divinia may have taken "only" a year to write, but it was also the realisation of a 20+ year dream to pen a fantasy novel after first writing Harry Potter fan fiction in my bedroom.
The Trials of Divinia is the first in a planned series of stories following Talon and his friends as they overcome obstacles, face world-altering challenges, and come face-to-face with divine beings beyond their imagination. Thank you for reading and for your interest and support.
